The flood water is increasing on rail bridge number 01 between Muktapur-Samastipur station (Down Line) of Darbhanga-Samastipur railway section falling under Samastipur Railway Division of Bihar. In view of the rising water level, rail operations on the middle down of Samastipur-Muktapur have been suspended due to passenger safety.
According to a release issued by East Central Railway, the Jaynagar- Bhagalpur special train has been canceled due to suspension of rail operations on the down line. At the same time, 4 other trains have been diverted, while some trains have been partially terminated.
Let us tell you that with the monsoon rains, the water level in Ganga and its tributaries has started rising. In Bihar adjoining Nepal, the water level of the Kosi river is also increasing along with the Ganges. In many areas of the state, water has started rising near the railway track and there is a danger of affecting the track. In view of this, the Railways is constantly taking necessary steps while taking precaution.

Train number 03225 Jaynagar-Rajendra Nagar Terminal Special train leaving Jaynagar on 10th July 2021 will leave from Samastipur station for Rajendra Nagar Terminal. Thus, the operation of this train between Jaignar and Samastipur will remain canceled today.

Railway is on alert mode till October 15 Heavy rain during monsoon Or East Central Railway remains on alert mode from May 12 to October 15 in view of floods. Rajesh Kumar said that proper arrangements have been made to ensure that there is no water logging around railway bridges and railway tracks during rains.
