The flood water is increasing on rail bridge number 01 between Muktapur-Samastipur station (Down Line) of Darbhanga-Samastipur railway section falling under Samastipur Railway Division of Bihar. In view of the rising water level, rail operations on the middle down of Samastipur-Muktapur have been suspended due to passenger safety.

 

According to a release issued by East Central Railway, the Jaynagar- Bhagalpur special train has been canceled due to suspension of rail operations on the down line. At the same time, 4 other trains have been diverted, while some trains have been partially terminated.

 

Let us tell you that with the monsoon rains, the water level in Ganga and its tributaries has started rising. In Bihar adjoining Nepal, the water level of the Kosi river is also increasing along with the Ganges. In many areas of the state, water has started rising near the railway track and there is a danger of affecting the track. In view of this, the Railways is constantly taking necessary steps while taking precaution.

05554 Jaynagar – Bhagalpur Special train leaving Jaynagar on 10th July 2021 will remain cancelled.

 

Diversion:

  • Train number 01062 Jp Nagar-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Special train leaving Jaynagar on 10 July 2021 will be diverted from its regular route Darbhanga-Samastipur-Muzaffarpur via the converted route Darbhanga-Sitamarhi-Muzaffarpur.

  • Train number 03186 Jaynagar-Sealdah Special train leaving Jaynagar on 10 July 2021 will be diverted from its regular route Darbhanga-Samastipur via the converted route Darbhanga- Sitamarhi-Muzaffarpur-Samastipur.

  • Train No. 05211 Darbhanga-Amritsar Special train leaving Darbhanga on 10 July 2021 will be diverted from its regular route Darbhanga-Samastipur-Muzaffarpur-Narkatiaganj via the converted route Darbhanga-Sitamarhi-Sikta-Narkatiaganj.

  • Train number 03044 Raxaul-Howrah Special train leaving Raxaul on 10 July 2021 will be diverted from its regular route Sitamarhi-Darbhanga-Samastipur via the converted route Sitamarhi-Muzaffarpur-Samastipur.

Partial completion:

 

Train number 03226 Rajendra Nagar Terminal-Jayanagar Special train opening from Rajendranagar Terminal on 10 July 2021 will be partially terminated at Samastipur station. Thus, the operation of this train between Samastipur and Jaynagar will remain canceled today.

 

Partial Departure

 

Train number 03225 Jaynagar-Rajendra Nagar Terminal Special train leaving Jaynagar on 10th July 2021 will leave from Samastipur station for Rajendra Nagar Terminal. Thus, the operation of this train between Jaignar and Samastipur will remain canceled today.

 

(Note: The date mentioned with the trains is the date of opening of the train. Further cancellation or diversion of trains will be informed by the railways later.)

Railway is on alert mode till October 15 Heavy rain during monsoon Or East Central Railway remains on alert mode from May 12 to October 15 in view of floods. Rajesh Kumar said that proper arrangements have been made to ensure that there is no water logging around railway bridges and railway tracks during rains. Along with this, it is also being continuously monitored under the supervision of the officers.

 

To deal with the emergency situation like flood, an adequate quantity of stone boulders, stone dust, empty cement bags, bamboo-balls etc. have been kept ready at selected stations by East Central Railway. All culverts have been cleaned. Danger levels have been made on all rail bridges to measure rain water. So that immediate steps can be taken for safe train operation.
